Peter Tea set to arrive in Nebraska

Peter Tea will be spending a full day with the NBS on Saturday, April 26th, at Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha.  Mr. Tea is a professional bonsai artist and instructor, residing in San Jose, California.  In 2011, he traveled to Japan and began an apprenticeship under Mr. Junichiro Tanaka at one of Japan’s most renowned bonsai nurseries, Aichien.

The day will start with a lecture on bonsai pottery/ceramics at 9 a.m.
Peter will have some pots on hand from his own collection and participants are encouraged to bring pottery examples from their own collections to add to the discussion.  Following the morning lecture will be a bring-your-own-tree workshop, and the day will likely conclude around 5 p.m.

Registration is full, but NBS members still have the unique opportunity to be a silent observer for either the morning lecture and/or afternoon workshop session.  The cost will be $10 per session.
