We held our first Kusamono Workshop at Mulhalls in Omaha last weekend. We are hoping to make this an annual event since it's so interesting and so much fun! Stephanie Walker brought a beautiful array of handmade pottery for the event and we had plenty of plant choices on hand. Scott began with a lecture and overview of the art form, followed by a demonstration. He created both a Kusamano planting with multiple plant species and a Shitakusa planting to accompany a bonsai for our Fall Show this year. We hope to have some of these creations up for sale at our Fall Show at Lauritzen this year.
